Sooji halwa is a comforting dessert that comes together with a few simple ingredients and the right roasting. With AECONE Sooji, ghee, sugar, and water, you can make halwa that feels soft, rich, aromatic, and smooth in every spoon.
Heat 1/2 cup ghee in a pan on medium flame so the sooji can roast evenly without burning.
Add 1 cup AECONE Sooji and roast slowly until it turns golden and gives a rich aroma.
In a separate pan, heat 2 cups water and dissolve 3/4 cup sugar completely before adding it to the sooji.
Slowly pour the sugar water into the roasted sooji while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Cook until the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan for the right halwa texture.
Add cardamom and dry fruits if needed, mix once more, and serve warm.
Slow roasting helps the sooji turn golden and aromatic without catching too much color too fast.
